Digitalization
Our vision of implementing an innovative Learning Management System (LMS) while harnessing the power of AI, machine learning and our state-of the-art Performance Optimisation Control Room (POCR).
E-Learning
Our Learning Management System (LMS) can be used seamlessly in our offices, on board the vessels, and at home.
The agreement reached with Adobe Systems makes us the first ship manager worldwide to implement a state-of-the-art LMS developed by a reputable high-tech software company which is not exclusively dedicated to the maritime industry.
Our investment in virtual and augmented reality equips our crew with the best tools to familiarise and train on their vessels from ashore, thereby massively reducing costs and enhancing safety.
The crew is now able to connect to the Cloud via satellite internet while streaming the content from ship servers. The training and learning material can be supplied from head offices via e-mail almost immediately without incurring high communication costs or long-time waiting processes.
Vessel Performance
Our state-of-the-art Performance Optimisation Control Room (POCR) provides the highest rate of optimisation and efficiency for vessels and shore operations, monitoring performance, maintenance, crew management, and commercial parameters.
The POCR service is available for any operator within the international maritime industry, irrespective of whether that operator has a pre-existing relationship with Columbia Shipmanagement.
Services and functionality are modular and individually priced based on a very flexible and focused service set-up. By participating in the POCR, maritime operators are able to differentiate themselves from their competitors by achieving levels of cost savings, efficiencies, and economies of scale, which render them much more competitive and attractive to the market.
